Riding for the Disabled Association
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wow, its been a bit quiet round here but no doubt you'll all be back in the swing of things soon.
We have had fun with the volunteers riding us over the hoildays - they decided to have a dressage competition followed by a handy pony course - There were some hilarious bits (or so the mad judges thought!) and there were some very serious bits but all seemed to be enjoying it! For some of us it was our first ever dressage test to be ridden and I do think we were all on our very best behaviour.
Jazz won the handy pony along with Miggins.
Now, remember, when you do come to ride us we still have lots of work going on with the new building. We are all getting used to them being around but there are some of us who haven't seen these diggers and things before so make sure you just let us know they are all quite safe and even the loud noises cant hurt us! Just a pat and a hug helps get us through the day! The Instructors keep putting on loud music which is great..but it is always the same so if you have a favourite CD bring it with you to play........please!!
Can't wait to see what the Penniwells Team have in store for us this year - it is certainly never a dull place to live! Maybe I will get to go out in that lorry this year with my mane all plaited and looking nice - Where do they all go off to?
Have fun and enjoy your riding.
Lots of pony kisses
